Peripécia is a collection of small format works in graphite and acrylic on paper, based on autobiographical photographic images.They are visual records of the past of my family, children, parents and grandparents , a bourgeois family in Portugal in the years surrounding the end of the dictatorship . They document different moments in the arc of the lives of several people related by affection and biology.

The name peripécia is used in classical Greek sense, when the character of a narrative realizes that everything one thinks one knows is wrong, when circumstances change and the story unfolds in a different direction.
